Hand Reef & Steer


Welcome to the Hand Reef & Steer sailing school.
We offer traditional sailing instruction aboard Carlotta and the classic schooner Maryke Violet. Learn to sail a traditional gaffer in the company of friendly, knowledgable crew. Work at your own pace through our curriculum of seamanship, navigation, rigging, and maintenance.
We are based on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia and sail out of Powell River and Lund - the gateway to the designated marine park of Desolation Sound and the Discovery Islands.

$175 (non residents $227) per couple
